Nurse charged With Unlawful Sexual Conduct

Colorado-43-year-old Thomas Moore, 43 was arrested and charged with unlawful sexual conduct in December 2015, when a woman who was in the emergency room where Moore worked reported that she began feeling  "out of it" after Moore had administered Morphine to her for abdominal pain in 2013.  She awoke to Moore kissing her naked breasts and neck. Once the woman was discharged from the E.R. Moore told her, "I'll find you, Sweetie,"

Several days later the woman received a friend request from Moore on Facebook.

Now a second woman has reported Moore to the police alleging that he groped her when she was a patient at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins.

The Colorado Board of Nursing has suspended Moore's nursing license
Moore is due in court on Monday and is currently out of jail on bond.

In June 2015, Moore was fired from the University of Colorado. Kelly Tracer, a spokesperson for UCHealth, wrote this statement:

"Patient safety is a top priority for UCHealth. All allegations of inappropriate conduct are taken seriously and carefully investigated, and disciplinary action will be taken anytime an employee is found to have violated our code of conduct or acted inappropriately toward a patient. UCHealth thoroughly investigated this incident, terminated the employee in June 2015, and reported the nurse to the Colorado Board of Nursing."

She declined further comment regarding the details that lead up to Moore's firing.

During investigations into Moore's history, the police discovered that Moore was fired when he worked at a hospital in Nebraska after a woman reported being groped all over her body and when she attempted to move he told her to lie on her back and continued to touch her inappropriately.  There were no criminal charges filed for this incident.
