Ingrid Lyne, a 40-year-old nurse in Seattle, Washington disappeared after meeting her boyfriend, John Robert Charlton at the Seattle Mariner's opening home game last Friday.
Her body was discovered dismembered, placed in garbage bags and dumped in a recycling bin. When her house was searched detectives found swabs of blood, a 15-inch saw and garbage bags that matched the ones found with her body parts.
She was a nurse with three children. Her ex-husband reported her missing when she failed to pick up their children as usual.
Her friend said that she had been dating Charlton for a long time and trusted him. "She didn't see any red flags. She would have never, ever, ever taken a risk if she thought there was (anything wrong)."
A neighbor called the police after discovering her head, arm and lower leg in his recycling bin. Charlton's parents had to get a restraining order against him in 2006 when they became afraid because he was abusive and drunk. According to his mother, he pulled a serial killer movie off the shelf handed it to his mother and told her to watch it and "beware."
Charlton reported admitted that he went to the baseball game with Lyne, then went to her house, but was too drunk to remember anything else. He said he was "unsure" how he left her home, but figured Lyne drove him back to Seattle.
