A woman working as a nurse at Jean Talon Hospital in Montreal, Canada is charged with impersonating a nurse for five years.
The 46-year old woman worked in the psychiatric department and even worked at a charge nurse sometimes.
The hospital said that all nurses' credentials are checked every year and they cannot explain how she avoided being caught. The board of nursing cannot say whether patient care was compromised.
The nurse did plead guilty to eight counts of impersonating a nurse. She did say that she was trained as a nurse, but was not licensed in Quebec. Authorities are not sure about the woman's licensure elsewhere.
A similar case of a fake nurse occurred earlier this month when a woman was impersonating a nurse in the emergency room of Jean Talon Hospital
