A London, Ontario nurse has admitted to several allegations of professional misconduct while employed as a night nurse in a long-term care facility.
Susan Muzylowsky, the former nurse sat silently during her hearing at the College of Nurses of Ontario while listening to the multiple allegations against her made by 19 patients and several of her coworkers.
Smiling when the chair-person mentioned the allegation that Muzylowsky told one of her patients to “come on Grandma get that big bum going” and referred to another as “poopy pants.”
She admitted to all 19 allegations but declined to comment any further.
She appeared at the hearing on Monday without an attorney and admitted that she verbally and sexually abused patients, refused to administer medication, refused to identify herself to a patient and several other allegations.
She told one patient,“You disgust me! What a pig! Crap everywhere. Look at this room. You need to get in bed and stay there.”
She referenced patients to her co-workers by calling them whiners, spoiled and directed other staff not to help the patients.
Muzylowsky worked full-time as a RPN at the long-term care facility, from October 2008 to September 2014. She was terminated because of the complaints at the hearing. She is no longer practicing as a nurse.
